My 70s Show

‘In case you could not tell this show is about the 70s. I don’t remember them much because I was too small but I still love it. It was wild and free with a naiive quality
I adore. This is easy to see when we look back and compare things to now. The way we were as people has changed. We worry a lot more, we regulate and we restrict. I often think to myself, wow it was so cool back then. I admit being nostalgic is not always healthy. But I love to reflect and celebrate such wonderful times past that were important in shaping our present. I remember the great movies, the classic tv shows and fantastic music that came out of that time. As I research I also discover things I didn’t know or am reminded what I have forgotten. This was the age that brought us Starwars, Jethro Tull, Blondie and the village people. Chips, the incredible hulk, the generation game and mash. When buying an iceblock cost just 12 cents and a 10 cent lolly mixture was a real treat. When going surfing midweek meant no one else was there and the free love free spirit of the 60s was still alive and well. Oh if only I was older then. My backyard was big and full of fruit trees and a single level 100sqm home was perfectly big enough to raise a family in. We only had 1 bathroom and still survived. A mobile phone was something james bond carried in his shoe. As long as I was home in time for tea my mum didn’t care. Yes the more I delve in the more I realise… man the 70s was so coo1!’
