Flower Power

Though by no means a ‘child of the 60s’, Christian has always been interested in that era. His parents were teens during the 1960’s and he was exposed to a lot of the movies, TV shows and music of that period. It has been a fantasy of his to live in that time. A revolutionary time that started straight and ended up completely wild. The protests, the movements, the outrageous fashion and music are all things that resonate with him.
It follows that Christian’s latest exhibition entitled ‘Flower Power’ is an exploration of the icons and events that he feels captures the spirit of the period. Christian has carefully researched and collated imagery and ideas into a series of unique montages that are equal parts eye catching and informative. And scattered throughout the exhibition is evidence of Christian’s sense of humour and poignancy. ‘If only I had lived longer’ (Jimi) befitting one of the icons of the music of the period.
