Description

Back in the day, in 1968, everyone surfed. That?s how my mother met my father (apparently). The same big storm that took out the famous Wahine ferry also produced one of the biggest swells in history for the North Shore. When Browns Bay broke a perfect 4 foot off the southern reef all the way to the beach. Never to be repeated I might add. I have checked. But this is Long Bay. That?s my favourite stomping ground for surf when it?s on.
