mission 4: The Coast

This is one of the most beautiful beaches in the world. Its white sandy shore disappears into a haze of sunlight and sometimes the water is as clear as crystal..Te Arai, the place I have visited since I was a boy. While my fathers were out surfing, I was making fantastic adventures in the dunes and exploring.

It was to be a beautiful day but the morning was cloudy and onshore. We had gone up for a dawny to surf mangawhai and as soon as we hit the water the wind change and it was stormy. We stopped in at te ari on the way home to check the surf but i got inspired and decided to capture the next phase of the sequence. Reaching the east coast. I shot infra red in a grey day which is never recommended but I loved it. I love this beach and everything about it. I was dragged up there all the time when i was a kid and itis a big part of who i am now. My fathers come surfing here with me now and it is food for my soul. We left here and went to the hill and the sun suddenly came out.
